A community church, filled with people of diverse backgrounds, full of joy and yet, bearing the same burdens of all people.  Sometimes we find it difficult in the challenging times to stay focused due to the violence throughout the land; economic and social issues; and suffering among those we love.  Yet, in the midst of these times, we find peace in our God because we know He is always there!  Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Church sits among many other churches in our community and we believe that fellowship will make us stronger.

How can we get through the storms? How can we find joy in the midst of our sorrow?  How can we rise up above the snares that are set before us?  "Love the Lord thy God with all our hearts, souls, mind, and with all our strength, and love our neighbor as we love ourselves."  Mark 12:30  "O man, what is good and what does the Lord require of you?  To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."  Micah 6:8   Come and join with us, lifting up the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!   Because here at Mount Pleasant Africian Methodist Episcopal Church we are the church:
