Praying for Healing for our World..."if My people which are called by My Name shall humble themselves, pray, seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, heal their land, and forgive their sins." 2 Chron. 7:14. Father keep our people safe as we protest the injustices amidst this pandemic.
In the name of Christ Jesus, our Savior. Amen.

Our Mission
The mission of Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Church is to minister to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and enviromental needs of all people by spreading Christ's liberating gospel through word and deed. At every level of the Connection and in every local church, the African Methodist Episcopal Church shall engage in carrying out the spirit of the original Free African Society, out of which the A.M.E. Chruch evolved: that is to seek out and save the lost, and serve the needy through a continuing program of preaching the gospel, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, housing the homeless, cheering the fallen, providing jobs for the jobless, administering to the needs of those in prisons, hospital, nursing homes, asylums, and mental institutions, seniors citizens' homes, caring for the sick, the shut-in, the mentally and socially disturbed, and encouraging thrift and economic advancement.

Pastor and Sister Alexander invite you to come and share the warm spirit of the people of God as we worship the Lord together at Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Church. We are delighted to have the opportunity to serve God in this high honor. It is only by the Grace of God that we share these liberties before us. So we welcome all to celebrate the Gift of Life given to us through the Blood of Christ. It is with boldness that we lift up Christ, the Cross, and the Banner on which stands our faith. We desire only that the Word of God be heard, felt, and lived in our lives and shared so that others my know that the God we serve: "has no respect of persons."

Where Everybody is Somebody
7/28/24
From the Pastor's Pen: Thought for the Week:
Some may think they're in control of their life until things get out of control and realize, they need the right help. Beginning our day, involving the Lord, trusting in Jesus, trusting in God, will lead us along the "paths of righteousness for His Name's sake."
"Many are the plans of a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails." Proverbs 19:21
Prayer: Father, thank You for always making ways for us, even when our desire is to attempt it on our own. Because Your mercies are new every morning and Your Grace is always there for us to lead us, we are assured, Your purpose will prevail in every path of life You guide us. Thank You for never forsaking us. In the Name of Jesus our Lord, we pray. Amen.
