Praying for Healing for our World..."if My people which are called by My Name shall humble themselves, pray, seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, heal their land, and forgive their sins."  2 Chron. 7:14.  Father keep our people safe as we protest the injustices amidst this pandemic.

In the name of Christ Jesus, our Savior.  Amen.

Welcome and thank you for visiting the website of Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Church.  A church where: "Everybody is Somebody and Christ is the Center of Our Praise."  Here at Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Chruch we are: "Brothers and Sisters in Christ." We would love to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our Brothers and Sisters in Christ.   So Come, "Let us Praise the Lord and Worship God in Spirit and in Truth."

Our Mission

The mission of Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Church is to minister to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and enviromental needs of all people by spreading Christ's liberating gospel through word and deed.  At every level of the Connection and in every local church, the African Methodist Episcopal Church shall engage in carrying out the spirit of the original Free African Society, out of which the A.M.E. Chruch evolved: that is to seek out and save the lost, and serve the needy through a continuing program of preaching the gospel, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, housing the homeless, cheering the fallen, providing jobs for the jobless, administering to the needs of those in prisons, hospital, nursing homes, asylums, and mental institutions, seniors citizens' homes, caring for the sick, the shut-in, the mentally and socially disturbed, and encouraging thrift and economic advancement.

From the Pastor’s Pen:

When Paul and Silas were praying and singing in prison, we don't know the hymn or songs they were singing. It may have been, "Satan had be bound, Jesus lifted me!"  When I was in trouble, Jesus Lifted Me!" or maybe it was "Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross, there's a precious fountain, free to all a healing stream, flows from Calvery's Mountain!"  But whatever the song(s) were, they got God's attention and set fire in the hearts of those who heard. Let us Praise our Lord, that others may believe.

"And they said, "believe in the Lord, Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and Your household."  Acts 16:31

Prayer: Father, indeed, we are thankful for Your presence in our lives. We thank You for Your gift of life given to all who believe in You. We asked You to pour more of You in us as we give more of us to You.  We believe You, "Inherit the praise of Your people."  Thank You for Your love and presence in our lives.  In the Name of Jesus our Lord, we pray.  Amen.

 Rev. R.W. Alexander, Sr.

"God has given us today: now let us give God the Glory."

What makes us safe in times like these?  Knowing we are covered by the Blood of Jesus!  Jesus said, "Let not your hearts be troubled, believe in God, believe ye also in me."  God has us covered!

We are the church where: "Everybody is Somebody" and "Christ is the Center of our Praise!"

Rev.  R.W. Alexander, Sr., Pastor & First Lady  Linda Alexander

Pastor and Sister Alexander invite you to come and share the warm spirit of the people of God as we worship the Lord together at Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Church.  We are delighted to have the opportunity to serve God in this high honor.  It is only by the Grace of God that we share these liberties before us.   So we welcome all to celebrate the Gift of Life given to us through the Blood of Christ.   It is with boldness that we lift up Christ, the Cross, and the Banner on which stands our faith.  We desire only that the Word of God be heard, felt, and lived in our lives and shared so that others my know that the God we serve: "has no respect of persons."

"God has given us today, now let us give God the Glory!"

SERMON NOTES: God is Never too high. God is Awesome. He sits high and He sits Low.

When people place things or others above God. (Money, Ego, Looks), God make it that you will always need him. Lord said when we think our lives is all that, God will bring us down.

Lord sees and provides! He gives us an heads up when we could be causing      ourselves danger. When we look up, we look for (Help, Advice, and His Grace and Mercy), God gives us Hope.

God is everywhere. It was when Uzziah died that Isaiah said He saw the Lord. When others we praise die out, only do some people see God. Somethings have to die out of our life for some of us to see the Lord.

God is never too High He will walk and talk with us. He sits Low also to supply our every need.
