Jesus loves you !
We love you too!
Welcome and thank you for visiting the website of Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Church. A church where: "Everybody is Somebody and Christ is the Center of Our Praise." We have no vistors here at Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Chruch because we all are: "Brothers and Sisters in Christ." We would love to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our brothers and sisters in Christ. So Come, "Let us Praise the Lord and Worship God in Spirit and in Truth."
The mission of Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Church is to minister to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and enviromental needs of all people by spreading Christ's liberating gospel through word and deed. At every level of the Connection and in every local church, the African Methodist Episcopal Church shall engage in carrying out the spirit of the original Free African Society, out of which the A.M.E. Chruch evolved: that is to seek out and save the lost, and serve the needy through a continuing program of preaching the gospel, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, housing the homeless, cheering the fallen, providing jobs for the jobless, administering to the needs of those in prisons, hospital, nursing homes, asylums, and mental institutions, seniors citizens' homes, caring for the sick, the shut-in, the mentally and socially disturbed, and encouraging thrift and economic advancement.

Rev. R.W. Alexander, Sr., Pastor & First Lady Linda Alexander
Pastor and Sister Alexander invite you to come and share the warm spirit of the people of God as we worship the Lord together at Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Church. We are delighted to have the opportunity to serve God in this high honor. It is only by the Grace of God that we share these liberties before us. So we welcome all to celebrate the Gift of Life given to us through the Blood of Christ. It is with boldness that we lift up Christ, the Cross, and the Banner on which stands our faith. We desire only that the Word of God be heard, felt, and lived in our lives and shared so that others my know that the God we serve: "has no respect of persons."
"God has given us today, now let us give God the Glory!"

From the Pastor’s Pen:
God made each of us in His image and likeness which means we are spiritual beings with His spirit. Therefore, we should never be pleased to dwell in a level lower than that which God has ordained and we should always strive for excellence, for our very best, and for God's highest!
"So God created man in His own image, in the image of God, He created him; male and female, He created them." Genesis 1:27
Prayer: Father, help us to commit ourselves and all our resources to serving and living in the excellence in which You designed and help us to be never be satisfied with anything than Your very Best! In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Praying for Healing for our World..."if My people which are called by My Name shall humble themselves, pray, seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, heal their land, and forgive their sins." 2 Chron. 7:14. Father keep our people safe as we protest the injustices amidst this pandemic. In the name of Christ Jesus, our Savior. Amen.
